COURSE DESCRIPTION
Electrical and Electronics Engineering department is one of the oldest departments of the Institute. The department is running undergraduate course in Electrical & Electronics Engineering since 2008 with a current intake of 60.The Department has highly qualified faculty members with Ph D and M Tech from prestigious institutions like IITs, NITs and other reputed institutes. The Electrical Engineering Department has contributed significantly towards the growth of the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow.
The Department is well equipped with state of art labs to groom electrical graduates to advance their theoretical knowledge and hands on of the profession. The students are encouraged to undertake projects in the areas of Power System Planning, Operations and Control, Electronics and Microprocessor Applications and Power Electronics.

The faculty members of the department have been involved in various research projects which are being reflected by a huge number of publications in many International journals and conferences. The department also provides consultancy to industries and organizations working in different domains of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Some Key achievements are:
- Department of EN has Installed a 1 KW wind mill at RKGITM campus building.
- Department of EN has completed two Projects, sponsored by Department of Science & Technology, Gov. of India successfully in session 2015-16.
- Five projects of EN Department are approved for sponsorship by Department of Science & Technology, Gov. of India for session 2016-17.
- Department of EN organized Industrial visit in reputed organization as Thermal Power Plant (Harduaganj), ALT (Ghaziabad) etc.
- Students of Department participated in various events in zonal fest of AKTU.
- Students are regularly getting good placements.Students from the department are placed in different PSUs, Defense services, Multinational Core/IT companies.
- A large of students have opted to pursue higher studies and obtained admissions in reputed institutions in India and abroad.
